Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser and that allow, among other things, remembering your preferences or analysing how the website is used. This policy also applies to similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage (localStorage).
Cookies are classified according to three criteria. For each one we explain the existing categories and which of them this website uses.
The table shows, for each item, its purpose, origin, type, duration and whether it requires consent.
| Item and what it is for | Origin | Type | Duration | Requires consent? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| golfos_cookie_consent Remembers whether you accepted or rejected third-party content. Stored in the browser's local storage. |
First-party | Technical | Persistent: 12 months (we ask you again afterwards) or until you clear your browser data | No |
| Google cookies (according to Google, “NID” or “__Secure-ENID”) Set by Google when the Google Maps map on the contact page is loaded, to remember preferences for using its services. Only loaded if you click “Accept”. Google may set others needed for the map to work. |
Third-party (Google) | Preferences or personalisation, managed by Google; see its information page | Persistent. According to Google: “NID” expires 6 months after last use and “__Secure-ENID” lasts 13 months | Yes |
In addition, the website's administration panel uses a technical session cookie (PHPSESSID) only for the person who logs in as administrator. Visitors do not receive it.
On the contact page we show a Google Maps map (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC). Until you accept, the map is not loaded and Google receives no data from you; instead you will see a link to open the location in Google Maps. If you click “Accept”, the map is loaded and Google may set cookies and process your browsing data, also on servers located outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. You can see how Google uses cookies on its information page.
When you first visit the website you can accept or reject third-party content from the notice at the bottom, with equal prominence for both options. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by clicking the following button:
